Windows 10 is the best OS the company has made up until now. The ability of Windows 10 to support apps just like smartphones and tablets is what makes the OS so special. I really like Windows 10, especially it’s Windows market because there are so many apps available for me to download.
I am a binge-watcher, so you will find certain apps installed on my Windows PC, i.e., Netflix and Sling TV. There are many more apps as well, but I mostly access these two when I’m in need of quality entertainment.
Recently, when I tried to access Sling TV, I was surprised to see a black screen in the Sling window. There was nothing else but a black screen, so I thought maybe there is some issue with the app, so I restarted my PC thinking that it would fix the issue, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. I also tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, but that also didn’t work. The app was working fine in other devices, but my Windows 10 PC.
Then, I checked online for the solution of the problem and I was able to find a solution at Sling TV help and support website.
They suggested me two methods through which I could solve this issue, so I’m going to share both methods with you.
Method 1: If the Sling TV that is installed on your PC has been downloaded from Windows store, then the right thing for you to do is to run ‘Windows apps troubleshooter’ followed by checking if any of the Sling TV app files are missing or gone corrupt.
In the majority of cases, Windows Store is going to notify its users automatically had there been any issue with the app and will also try to fix the issue. If you are still experiencing the issues with the app, then ‘Windows apps troubleshooter’ will automatically identify and resolve the issues with the apps and Windows store.
If the issue still exists, then you will have to create another admin user account. You can take help of several helpful articles given on the Microsoft website.
If the user profile has gone corrupt, then it won’t function normally, so you will find problems launching ‘Start Menu’, ‘Cortana’, ‘Search Bar’, ‘Store and other Windows apps’.
So, in those cases, you will have to create a new profile followed by checking for the same in order to identify if it is specific to the corrupted user profile or the Operating System.
The issue is most likely to get resolved after following both methods, but if that didn’t happen, then you will have to take help of experts because only experts can assist you with this complicated issue that is barring you from watching your favorite Sling TV content.
